Logistics Sales Executive - Expedite Focus
Our client is seeking a productive and experienced Sales Executive to join their rapidly growing team providing market leading services for transportation of high consequence products. This individual will be responsible for finding and securing new business opportunities for exclusive delivery customers in the expedited, high-value and final mile industry. The ideal candidate is ambitious, has extensive related industry sales experience, and is an expert at building and fostering long-lasting, professional relationships with customers.
Job Type: Full-time; Remote with frequent travel to Southlake, TX
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for and uncover new business opportunities in the North American expedited and time critical final mile/technical delivery space.
- Establish productive, trusting relationships with new customers.
- Go beyond the sale by building strong relationships and keeping them apprised of new company offerings and industry trends.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs for transportation services on an ongoing basis.
- Negotiate rates with customers to fit their needs and drive profitability for the company.
- Develop a fundamental understanding of the high-end goods market and the company’s service offerings, and consult with customers to suggest new, innovative ideas and business solutions that drive value.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, develop rapport, and maintain consistent communication by email campaigns, cold calls, and/or face-to-face visits.
- Provide exceptional service by responding to customer inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
- Skillfully navigate client questions and concerns escalating to management where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of cutting-edge sales and industry trends.
- 2-4+ years’ of related industry sales experience.
- A true sales profession able to demonstrate a commitment to personal development.
- Knowledgeable about the white glove, express delivery, and final mile transportation industry.
- Understanding of or experience with domestic freight forwarding is a plus.
- Success selling services to OEM companies in the technology, medical device, critical infrastructure or custom retail environments is ideal.
- Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed who is excited for a challenge.
- Continuously seeks out opportunities for personal/professional growth and self-improvement (i.e. exhibits an interest in sales and personal development books, podcasts, etc.)
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills - oral, written, and over the phone.
- Polished and professional individual who provides exceptional customer service and is a fierce negotiator.
- Able and excited to travel in and around Southlake, TX.
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
This position offers a base salary with an unlimited, no-cap, recurring
commission structure. There are no restrictions on the territory to find clients.
