Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join their team and contribute to the success of the business. This individual will be responsible for building and fostering strong relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and coordinating and monitoring shipments from pick-up to delivery. The ideal candidate is highly organized, competitive in nature, and has 2+ years of related experience with expertise in the domestic transportation industry. This role will report directly to the Carrier Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Locate carriers, then provide excellent service to establish and nurture productive, trusting relationships.
- Serve as the main point of contact for carriers and maintain consistent communication via email and phone.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates to attract and retain carriers, while driving profitability for the company.
- Coordinate freight booking and oversee transportation movements to guarantee timely and satisfactory pick-up and delivery.
- Stay apprised of market trends and use this knowledge to inform strategic business solutions.
- Collaborate with internal departments and utilize critical thinking skills to provide the best freight solutions for customers.
- Skillfully navigate questions and concerns to resolve conflicts between shippers and carriers, escalating to management where appropriate.
- 2+ years’ of related industry experience.
- Previous experience in a 3PL/Brokerage environment.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and compliance/regulatory policies and best practices.
- Highly self-motivated individual with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills - oral, written, and over the phone.
- Exhibits professionalism internally with colleagues and externally with customers.
This position offers a competitive base salary + commission structure.
