We are proud of our legendary past and continue to visualise our heritage of the future.We are looking for a Pastry Chef for the next season (spring/summer 2024) to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community. He/She will Report to the Executive Chef. Main duties & responsibilities: Create and update a broad range of pastry and dessert, develop new pastry recipes Oversee the production of pastries and desserts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation Train and supervise pastry kitchen staff to execute recipes with precision Manage inventory and costs control of pastry ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels Coordinate with Executive Chef to create and develop new menu ideas Implement strategies to minimize food costs while maintaining quality Enforce hygiene and safety standards in the pastry kitchen Requirements Effective communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player Drive results: provide genuine and consistent high levels of service by anticipating and exceeding expectations of guests and colleagues Global perspective: treat each other with respect and inclusiveness regardless of position, level or background Other requirements Minimum 4 years experience in the same role in a fine dining restaurant (Michelin star is a plus) Fluent in English and Italian Outstanding leadership skills BenefitsBelmond and you: We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 2, Pastry Chef Start date: April 2024 to End date: September 2024, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido and a career path.
