Account Manager
Our client is seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience in logistics or account management and are ready to take on more responsibility in a dynamic and growing company. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving margin expansion. You will be expected to deliver on the P&L, meet SLAs, and implement strategic initiatives at the account level.
Job Type: Full-time/hybrid
Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with key clients, deeply understanding their needs and consistently ensuring their satisfaction with our client’s exceptional services. Proactively anticipate their requirements and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Operational Coordination: Take full ownership of coordinating logistics operations for your accounts, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services while aligning with customer success metrics and holding internal teams accountable to meet these standards.
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison for clients, clearly articulating their needs to internal teams and providing regular, transparent updates on account status. Ensure that all communication fosters client trust and confidence.
  • Problem-Solving: As the primary point of contact for the customer, it is critical to understand customer deliverables, escalation points, and the ability to execute on KPIs. Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders about operational matters is essential for success in this role.
  • Data Analysis: Data and Business Intelligence are critical to success in this role. Deep understanding of key data points and detailed analysis is expected, as an Account Manager you will be responsible to ensure the organization is meeting and exceeding the financial and service-based goals. Cross functional alignment with Carrier Sales is expected and the ability to deliver results, paramount.
  • Contract Negotiation: Assist in the negotiation of contracts and terms with clients, striving for agreements that are mutually beneficial and align with both customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans that are tailored to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. Take responsibility for the overall success and profitability of your accounts.
  • Market Research: Stay ahead of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide clients with valuable insights. Could include monthly market update to customers and proactive commercial structing during times of heightened seasonal demand.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in account management, logistics, or a related role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with professionals at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software and technology platforms.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a focus on customer satisfaction and account growth.
