General Manager, Freight Consolidation
Our client is a family-owned company growing rapidly & looking for energetic, hardworking individuals to join their team. The General Manager, Freight Consolidation has ultimate responsibility for directing daily activities for Freight Consolidation operations. Oversees all aspects of cost containment, team member development and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the VP of Operations, Transportation and has 4 direct reports.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Customer Satisfaction.
- Ensuring timely completion of Customer Business Reviews.
- Design, implement and administer company policies and procedures.
- Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
- Provide direction, development and leadership to direct reports.
- Collaborate with peers to provide consistent customer experience.
- Provide accurate and timely submission of key quality and financial reports.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining operations processes and procedures and initiating improvements for operations.
- General management duties.
- Ensure all team members have tools and resources necessary to complete their task.
- Coach Direct Reports to meet Performance and Behavioral expectations.
- Forecasting and monitoring of Freight Consolidation P&L.
- Attain predetermined performance metrics as outlined by their Manager.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor and work as a team to get the job done.
Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of progressive responsibility in transportation and logistics
- License or Certification: CTB (Certified Transportation Broker) is preferred but not required
- Travel requirements: Rarely
- Minimum Behavior requirements: You must Be Humble, Stay Hungry and Live Smart
