Our client is an independent supplier of intermodal equipment and ramp-to-ramp rail service specializing in 53' containers. Their mission is to provide a quality, easy-to use intermodal service utilizing our fleet of containers that allows customers to grow and be successful while nurturing strong business and personal relationships. Their flexible service is designed exclusively for intermediaries such as IMCs, 3PLs, Brokers, Freight Forwarders and Motor Carriers.
Sr. Manager of Pricing - Intermodal
The Sr. Manager of Pricing is responsible for managing all pricing activities, making market suggestions, following up with customer bids, and assisting in projects as needed.
Job Type: Full-time/work from home
Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Pricing Development:
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize revenue and market share.
    • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark pricing against industry standards.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their pricing needs and preferences.
    • Provide pricing support and guidance to the sales team and other stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for pricing optimization.
    • Prepare and present detailed pricing reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Revenue Management:
    • Monitor and manage revenue performance to achieve financial targets.
    • Identify and address any revenue leakage or discrepancies.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor providing guidance and support.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously improve pricing processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
    • Implement best practices in pricing and yield management.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate pricing risks related to market fluctuations and customer behaviors.
    • Develop contingency plans to address potential pricing challenges.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide training to team members and other departments on pricing strategies and tools.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to inform pricing decisions.
  • Innovation and Technology:
    • Manage existing Salesforce Based Pricing Portal, continue to develop current software to enhance pricing capabilities.
    • Explore innovative approaches to pricing to stay competitive in the market.

Experience:
  • Experience and knowledge of Sales Force (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Intermodal Pricing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and reliability as a team member
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams

This position offers a competitive base salary.
