Purpose of the Job:
The Product Owner owns the digital product on behalf of the company; championing the product, and managing product decisions. He is responsible for driving execution on the product strategy. The Product Owner will work closely with the business to ensure the features developed align with the strategic goals, and customer/distributor needs. This role will be critical in the self-organized team and will translate strategic goals to requirements to implementable solutions as well as being involved in the day-to-day operations and practices of the team.
Responsibilities:
 Product Strategy and Vision
o Lead and manage digital journey transformation initiatives within the organization to ensure a consistent and coherent experience across the customer/ distributor’s journey.
o Link business strategies clearly to product objectives based on the long-term strategic plan of the organization and prioritize the development to optimize resource allocation
o Manage and work with senior leadership at the entity business lines, AXA Group, AXA Regional Office and other AXA entities to identify, scope and structure key strategy digital initiatives to drive growth and profitability.
o Understand issues facing the business that would affect the digital products, and develop strategic solutions for implementation.
o Accountable for measuring digital business – baseline KPIs, target conversions and based on agreed upon metrics from the business.
o Ensure realization of benefits arising from products vetted and approved for delivery
o Prioritize stories and requirements based on maximizing value of the product for incremental business value and customer/distributor value.
o Modify the product backlog in response to industry and business changes.
o Accountable for managing product targets based on overall vision.
 Product Delivery, Execution and Implementation
o Educate stakeholders and create understanding within the organization of the delivery model and method for product execution.
o Manage relationships with internal, external and group contacts to ensure that all digital
products (e.g. website, portal, mobile application, etc.) are developed, deployed and maintained on schedule, on budget and up to AXA standards.
o Manage allocated budget for digital product delivery 

o Prioritize stories and requirements by business value.
o Create, Maintain, Prioritize and Sequence the Product Back-log based on the Product Timeline, Minimum Viable Product and Enhancement Stages.
o Lead and manage backlog vetting, grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, demo sprints, reviews, and retrospectives.
o Approve stories completed at the end of each sprint prior to deployment.
o Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize the product
 Team Management
o Manage team and their respective deliveries.
o Ensure team outputs are provided on schedule and of quality
 Leadership 
o Lead respective scrum teams

 

 


Your Profile

Qualifications:
 Bachelor's degree holder
 Minimum 5 years industry experience
 Minimum 2 years project management experience
 Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodology
 High degree of adaptability
 Puts the customer/ distributor experience first
 Creative and Solutions-Focused
 Curious and passionate about digital innovation
 Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
 Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
 Ability to test and learn
