Location: Hybrid (London or Corby)
RS Group is seeking a Product Owner for Customer Data Management to join our team permanently. In this role, you will drive the development, implementation, adoption, and execution of our critical global Customer Data Management (CDM) platform.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Define, Plan, and Deliver: Implement the Customer Data master (CDM) across the group, deploying golden records to enable strategic and real-time customer insights and support the omnichannel customer experience.
- Drive Customer Data Quality: Improve Customer Data quality through CDM, process improvement, and collaboration with the GD&A team (Data Governance), local data stewards, and data teams.
- Strategy and Roadmap Development: Execute and contribute to the strategy and roadmap for the Customer Master Database, aligning with business objectives and priorities.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring the CDM meets the needs of various global business units and regions.
- Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team of developers, analysts, and stakeholders in developing and delivering the Customer Master Database.
- Scrum Master: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews for the development team.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, progress, and milestones.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and integrity of the Customer Master Database through rigorous testing and validation.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and implement robust security measures to protect customer information.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Process Development and Continuous Improvement: Develop and continuously improve the end-to-end Customer Data Management process, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and end-users to enhance functionality, usability, and data quality.
About You:
In this pivotal role, you will translate the vision and strategy for our CDM platform, prioritize new and existing requirements, resolve master data issues, assess business impact, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key qualifications and attributes include:
- Experience: Data strategy and Master Data Management experience, ideally within the customer domain.
- Product Management: Proven experience in Product Ownership or management, especially in developing and delivering large-scale data platforms or databases.
- Influencing Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile development environment, preferably as a Scrum Master.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of database technologies, data modeling principles, and Data Management best practices.
- Compliance: Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing security measures.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking and results-driven mindset.
- Project Management: Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
- Certifications: Certification in Agile or Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
- Preferred Experience: Experience with Informatica C360 is desirable.
