POSITION SUMMARY
The overall purpose of the role of Learning Specialist is to support the future proofing of our business and employees by fostering a learning culture and taking part in the implementation of new ways of working and new technologies.
Networking and stakeholder management is a key aspect of the role to ensure best practice from around the organization is leveraged and requirements in terms of new skills are captured.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· The Learning Specialist will report to Learning Manager and keep close working relationships with key stakeholder throughout the organization
· The role of the Learning Specialist consists of four main areas of activities:
· Analyze the needs of the business with the aim of developing transversal learning initiatives
· Champion and support the implementation of new ways of working and new technologies
· Actively foster a learning culture
· Act as the Learning specialist responsible for initiatives within assigned perimeter
Analyse the needs of the business with the aim of developing transversal learning initiatives:
· Actively work with Operation Managers and Team Leaders to analyse the business needs of the teams with the aim of assessing and defining future training requirements
· The role will support with ad hoc improvement projects and act as Learning SME where needed
· Stay up to date with organisational updates, market standards and ensure learning meet the highest standard and is delivered in a timely manner
· Provide excellent stakeholder management, visibility of plan and progress
Champion and support the implementation of new ways of working and new technologies:
· Champion an agile, value-based culture & community promoting innovation, a culture of continuous improvement and growth mind-set (test & learn)
· Stay up to date with new emerging technologies (internally and externally) and ensure employees are upskilled accordingly to stay relevant in their jobs and work as efficient as possible
Actively foster a learning culture:
· Promote a learning culture by acting as a role model and actively searching for stories to share with the business to promote learning and provide visibility of learning paths within the organisation
· Play an active part within the Customer & Employee journey pillar to drive the 5 C´s of a Customer & Employee centric organization; communication, community, care, celebration & commitment. Ensure it is present in all learning initiatives
Learning specialist responsible for initiatives within assigned perimeter:
· Provide full training on processes, tools and procedures to the operation teams
· Create a wide variety of digital and classroom learning content, applying learning principals and visual design skills; Research, design, write, review and edit training materials to support business needs in a timely manner
· Update existing training documents when required
· Create engaging and educational resources using innovate digital tools and technologies in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts where needed
· Manage the training needs analysis, where skills are being continuously assessed post training and ongoing up skilling is facilitated
· The role will also support with other ad hoc trainings where needed
· Available to travel for Business purposes
Your Profile
Excellent in content and course design (PowerPoint, e-learning, etc.) and presentation skills (engage, storytelling, etc.)
Experience in the use of learning management systems is an advantage
· Proven record of design, delivery and development of training programs
· A strong “doer” with own drive to find solutions and bring results
· Self-reliant, flows through and take responsibility for delivering success
· Strong communicator who can motivate and inspire others
· Excellent organizational skills – structure and timely delivery
· Knowledge or experience in the ability to create quality documentation and meet business deadlines
· MS Office proficiency
· Excellent English skills, additional languages is an advantage
· Flexibility displaying a willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities
· Experience in leading projects and process improvements initiatives
