Transportation Manager
Our client is looking to add a Full-Time Transportation Manager to their team. The applicant for this position must be experienced, a team player, with demonstrated ability to motivate staff and successfully promote change through leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all routes are running on time and frequently check in with Drivers to see if assistance is needed.
• Report to Customer Service any delays in delivery.
• Ensure that all pickups are assigned, and Drivers are aware of completing backhauls when asked.
• Communicate issues to management for timely resolution.
• Cross-train with other supervisors to ensure coverage in all areas.
• Ensuring truck maintenance at the end of each shift.
• Ensure all Drivers are in compliance with our client’s uniform requirements.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations (Hours of service).
• Create and distribute On-Time reports.
• Conduct a Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspection on vehicles daily.

Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant warehouse distribution experience required.
• Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish) a plus.
• Experience with Retalix, Extend Data, and GPS Tracking system a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and think outside of the box to find quick resolutions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Candidate must be available to work overtime hours, if necessary.
