Job Title:Training Content Coordinator 

Salary: £24,300 - £30,600 

Location: Cambridge; Hybrid (2 days per week required in the office) 

Contract: Permanent, full time 35 hours per week 

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Training Content Coordinator within our Product Support team, supporting OCR's Professional Development Programme. 

OCR's Professional Development programme consists of up to 1000 events per annum, engaging with teachers across all OCR qualifications, general and vocational, as a driver of both customer retention and acquisition and a key element of OCR's customer support offer.

About the role  

You will be involved in all stages of the content development cycle – conducting thorough quality assurance checks, aligning materials with established templates and style guides, and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with our set criteria and processes.  

This role supports the Product Support initiative to improve the quality and consistency of our training courses, to improve customer satisfaction and aid successful teacher assessment and delivery of OCR qualifications.  

Working alongside our dedicated team of Events Officers, Subject Experts and Developers, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining the high standard of content for this programme. 

 

As our Training and Content Coordinator, you will: 

  • Perform quality assurance checks on Professional Development materials at various stages within the materials development cycle 
  • Help develop key guidance documentation for Trainers, Developers and Subject Experts 
  • Quality assure trainer delivery by assessing training performance against set criteria, and reporting on findings  
  • Support with analysing customer feedback and make recommendations for improving our Professional Development Programme  
  • Oversee the material development cycle, reporting on materials status and identifying any concerns around materials development deadlines  
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including Subject Experts, Events Officers and Creatives to ensure that materials are reviewed within the agreed timeframes  
  • Support in facilitating professional development of trainers and developers​  

 

About you 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring that Professional Development materials meet a high standard of quality, consistency and engagement. 

You will have a proven track record in reviewing and editing a range of document types, particularly PowerPoint presentations, and will be familiar with working with templates and optimising slide layouts. You will be experienced in proofreading and editing documents to enhance readability and tailor content to specific audiences. Excellent attention to detail is essential in ensuring that OCR's training materials uphold the professional standard that teachers expect from our events. 

Ideally, you will have previously been involved in developing/delivering Training Content, and it is essential that you understand the principles that underpin an excellent training event. 

You will know how to write and review guidelines and working instructions and will have likely worked in roles where you have had to carry out checks in accordance with set criteria. 

You will be able to manage workloads effectively and exhibit strong interpersonal skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
