Under limited guidance, works at the business unit level developing the end-to-end solution architecture for significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.  Expose current state architecture and identify options for future state architecture.  Works closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns.  Develop plans for and facilitate the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives. Mentor those in less senior positions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information Systems, business and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement. Ability to lead, working collaboratively and creatively with business and IT stakeholders.  Strong human relation and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate with the portfolio decomposition & analysis to understand the Epic request.
  • Participate with the Solution/Product Management team to ensure feasibility of the capabilities and features created during the Solution Delivery Assessment phase.
  • Lead & create the Solution Context & Solution Intent artifacts as part of the Solution Delivery Decomposition and Analysis phases. Take the solution through the review/approval process with the Epic Owner.
  • Participate in the Solution Demo for their Epic with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to styles, stacks and patterns; such as three tier architecture.
  • Operate at a high level as well as down into finer details of implementations (coding & software delivery).
  • Ensure the execution of the solution context & intent is done, while working with the impacted Application Architects & ARTs.
  • Accountable for the FIRST and Architecture Delivery (ArchD).
  • Responsible for creating and executing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with leadership, peers, business partners, architects, and enterprise teams to align strategically with business modernization and organization transformation goal.
     
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Considered a Plus:
  • Proven experience working in a development role with deep understanding of software architecture, design principles and design patterns.
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud technology such as Docker and Kubernetes including familiarity and knowledge around deploying into the Cloud environment.
  • Familiarity and experience in developing software services aimed at retiring legacy systems.
  • Experience working with other stakeholders and customers to prioritize, design and build consumable services that deliver value and drive legacy systems retirement
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate design approaches, consider technical feasibility, and prototype new technology enabled solutions
  • Experienced in working under dynamic conditions under partial information availability with the ability to quickly change directions and focus based on evolving business needs.
  • Hands-on coding experience in an Agile environment targeting delivery of high-quality software against aggressive schedules.
  • Development experience defining, developing, and maintaining SOA interfaces mindful of scalability, reliability, and performance considerations.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Service-oriented, API-first, Cloud-native architecture, DevSecOps, CI / CD, and SAFe Agile.
  • High sense of ownership with a bias towards action, enhanced speed to value, and increased efficiency. 
  • Experience in working with NOSQL database systems like Redis.
  • Experience in working with messaging brokers like JMS, Kafka.
  • Solid knowledge in design best practices as well as industry standards such as TDD, BDD, Design by Contract, Responsibility Driven Design, etc.

Work Location(s)/Domicile:
  • Desired location for this position would be Collierville, TN or Pittsburg, PA however, this position may be located anywhere within the United States.

Relocation:

Salary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $8,528.00 - $15,184.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
