Job Title: Digital Product Manager/ Senior Digital Product Manager

Salary: £44,900 - £60,000 (Role seniority and salary will be based on experience)

Location: Cambridge

Contract: Fixed Term Contract 18 months

As a Digital Product Manager / Senior Digital Product Manager at Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUPA), you will play a pivotal role in advancing our digital strategy to improve education using technology.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

This is a truly exciting time at CUPA. The Digital Assessment & Evaluation team is working at the forefront of the digital transformation of UK and International GCSEs and A Levels, developing new digital qualifications that have the potential to make a significant difference to global education.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead on the Digital Product development of your product set, collaborating with Assessment, Curriculum and Qualification SMEs as well as UX, Technology and Operational Delivery teams, among many others, to support the development, design and delivery of your product/s, and their future growth.
  • Set clear and measurable objectives and results with your product team, aligned with the overarching Digital Product strategy, and maintain alignment with wider stakeholders in OCR and Cambridge International.
  • Conduct user research in collaboration with UX, Research and Insights teams to gather feedback and analyse user data to identify and communicate customer needs and pain points.
  • Combine research and data to create evidence-driven, prioritised product roadmaps. Communicate insight and next steps frequently and proactively to the wider organisation to maintain buy in and momentum.
  • Communicate priorities and requirements to the Delivery teams to drive development forwards.

About you

  • You are experienced leading product teams and developing strong relationships with both technical and commercial stakeholders. You excel at building cross-functional alignment and maintaining focus throughout execution of complex projects.
  • You are an experienced and confident communicator, able to communicate effectively and persuasively with the highest level of management.
  • You are decisive and persuasive, leading by example on collaborative decision making; and can counter resistance diplomatically.
  • You are experienced in agile Digital Product delivery and using common Digital Product toolkits (Trello, Miro, Jira etc).
  • An understanding of education would be a strong advantage, but is not essential for this role – curiosity, empathy, active listening and passionate customer-centred focus are.

These are the ideal skills, attributes, and experience we're looking for in this role. Don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes, we're happy to upskill for the right candidate.

If you would like to know more about this opportunity and what will make you successful, please see the full job description attached to the bottom of this vacancy on our careers site.
