As a Sales Specialist for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Toyota, Japan, you will be responsible for selling company products and systems within a designated geographic area or customer segment in accordance with strategy. Develop and maintain new sales opportunities and customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer problems.The local legal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Selling products and systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for all Local BLs
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships (from commercial to administrative functions) to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product offering, and align to provide a solution
  • Preparing sales plans using company tool (i.e. Salesforce). Performing regular status reviews/reports and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product/solution presentations and negotiations. Communicates details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions) and set-up the strategic price to earn profit.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing communication to external customers (both current and prospects) and communicates the value proposition of the offer to the end customers
  • Proposing exhibition plan for marketing based on LBL strategy collaborating with country Marketing & Communication team
  • Contributing to the development of new market opportunities in the designated territory collaborating other sales professionals for LBL mid-term strategy.
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed

Your background

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with a track record in sales
  • Experience in a company Automation industry or system integrator.
  • Business level in English (preferred)
  • JLPT N1 level in Japanese (Must)
