R&D Application And Firmware Development Specialist

We are looking for an R&DApplication and Firmware Development Specialistwho will join the System Engineering Development team to support our R&D Department, reporting directly to System Engineering Manager, to define and develop embedded software for several onboard applications including real time implementation, testability, robustness and simulation with the aim to condensate into operative specification the final user needs; the person will also be involved in implementing the design, based on current Motorsport codebase.

This position is located at our office in Corbetta (Milan Area, Italy) however this job falls under the scope of our company’s smart working policies.

As R&D Application and Firmware Development Specialist you will:

• Create software design and its architecture;
• Mantain and implement the existing Software;
• Manage Software verification/peer review;
• Write and review technical Documents;
• Manage required engineering activities;
• Execute troubleshooting, fault- finding, bug fixing.

What you will bring:

• Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software engineering, or equivalent experience at least 4-5 years;
• Expert in programming language as C;
• Proficient in code testing such as C code or Matlab/Simulink Model base;
• Proficiency in Automotive bus knowledge and protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay etc);
• Knowledge of the Communication bus (SPI/ETHERNET);
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Strong ability to devise new approaches to make improvements and solve problems;
• Being able to stay on target, regardless the circumstances;
• Understanding of different types of situation structure and therefore, different types of solutions.

Would be very appreciated if you have:

• Familiarity with Combustion/Hybrid/Electric Engine strategy;
• Comprehension of the Linux/RTOS embedded knowledge;
