BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION
GPC leads and coordinates WFP’s corporate resource mobilization efforts with Public Donors at capital, regional and country offices levels. Under the supervision of a Government Partnerships Officer (GPO), the incumbent will support the Thematic Team Head and team members in managing the relationship with several cross-functional and internal stakeholders.

As a member of the Thematic Team of the GPC, the intern will be given the following responsibilities:
Support to develop a communication plan to support relationship building and improve donor engagement on key thematic topics, including climate and resilience building, social protection and nutrition. Support the development and review of communication products for the Thematic Team, including reports, presentations, briefs, webpages, social media channels and other materials. Be the liaison person with the communication colleagues working on key thematic topics within the Programmes and Operation Department (PO) and Communications and Media Department to collect communication and information materials for strategic distribution with donors and partners. Produce communication materials for key events where donor engagement opportunities take place, such as UN General Assembly, COPs, G7 and other relevant international conferences. Contribute to the development of key products of the Thematic Team, including donor intelligence gathering and donor event organization. Undertake desktop research for reporting purposes and outreach activities. Support the organization of meetings and events. Attend meetings, draft related minutes and support relevant follow up action items as required. Support the compilation of inputs into briefing notes, and format / edit according to the proposals. Be a valuable team member of the Thematic Team and contribute to other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Currently enrolled in a graduate programme from a recognized university OR recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme); University course attendance in the past 12 months. Proficiency in MS Office with excellent level in Excel, Power Point, SharePoint and other graphic design softwares. Excellency in written and oral English – good command of a second UN language is desirable. Strong analytical skills, advanced drafting/writing skills are essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. Ability to set priorities and maintain high quality outputs within given deadlines. SUPERVISION
Under the direct supervision of the Government Partnership Officer, the incumbent will be provided with close mentoring, guidance and technical supervision. Performance planning and reviews as well as learning and development discussions will be elemental part of the supervision. With the support of a comprehensive induction package and assignment of a buddy/mentor, the intern will rapidly become a productive member of the team.
