RINA is currently recruiting for a Internship - Communication, Events & Exhibitions Trainee to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Global Communication Division.

The ideal candidate will learn how the team plans and manages fairs, conferences, workshops and events. The internship will allow them to develop the business opportunities created in events, be introduced to a young and dynamic environment where work activities are fast-paced and challenging, and get to know a wide range of stakeholders across RINA business units.


The candidate will practice and learn different activities, such as: 
• Researched and visited sites and found resources to help businesses decide about event possibilities.
• Coordinating on-site arrangements for all meetings and events: assisting with negotiations for space contracts and booking event space, arranging food and beverage, ordering supplies and audiovisual equipment, ensuring appropriate décor
• Assisting with managing on-site production and cleaning up for events as necessary
• Preparing nametags, materials, notebooks, packages, gift bags, registration lists, seating cards, etc.
• Keeping track of event finances, including check requests, invoicing, and reporting
• Proposing new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process
• Providing support and assistance in planning, developing, producing, and delivering marketing and communications materials
• Managing development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials
• Developing and overseeing the communications calendar to ensure the timely execution of the program
• Preparing written materials, including some marketing copy, business communications, reports, and presentation scripts
• Analyzing marketing and communications programs and making recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness

Person specification:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred. The desired course of study: marketing, communications, event planning, or equivalent experience;
• Good level of English (knowledge of other languages would be a plus)
• Teamwork attitude and intense curiosity for events and the MICE sector.
• Computer proficiency: word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and database management;
• Excellent organizational and office skills;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
