RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate profitable growth of the business line Health Care with focus on the Drug Delivery & Products and Health Solutions businesses within the territory of Austria & Switzerland

  • First level commercial contact person for existing and potential new customers, timely follow-up of customers’ requests concerning products and service requirements, trouble shooting, complaints, supply, etc.

  • High priority on Business Development in in the relevant territory for Drug Delivery & Products and Health Solutions segments. Analysis of the markets, especially with regards to recent trends and the fit with our new products and services

  • Understanding customers´commercial and technical needs and opportunities and consulting the customer accordingly

  • Negotiate contracts (non-disclosure agreements, supply agreements, service agreements, material transfer agreements, quality agreements, etc.) as necessary

  • Prepare and monitor sales actuals vs. budget and previous year for each product & customer in the territory and suggest and implement corrective actions in case of deviations

  • Research on customer needs and expectations in the field of products, processes and propose measures to improve customer satisfaction, issue reports on a regular basis

  • Generate, evaluate, and report market and competitive information to ensure competitive advantage

  • Cooperate with and support the relevant internal departments and functions of the Business Line, e.g., Product Line's and segments, Innovation Management, Technical Service, sales support / customer service and supply chain

  • Promote a favorable image of our Evonik and the Business Line Health Care to all external contacts


REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferably technical degree in Chemistry, Pharma, Medicine, Biology, or other related areas

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales track record in the required industries with proven experience selling products, services and technologies

  • Contract negotiation skills (confidentiality, supply, service, licensing and quality agreements)

  • Ideally possess established relationships with contacts in the pharma industry in Austria & Switzerland

  • Strong technical background with an ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers developing new products

  • Ability to build and expand relationships with customers and prospects, and be comfortable calling on a variety of companies, technical and supply chain contacts, as well as all levels of management

  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to self-motivate, maintain high level of organization, and coordinate many projects simultaneously

  • Willingness to travel nationally & internationally (approx. 50% on average)
