Head Of Motor Damage Claims (Republic of Ireland) Senior Lead opportunity to join our Claims Leadership Team. 

Reporting to the Claims Director, the Head of Motor Claims role will be responsible for the Motor Damage ROI function managing circa 100 colleagues in Dublin & Derry Business Centre, motivating the teams to deliver exceptional service to our customers and meet our strategy to maximise profit and growth. 

•    Develop and deliver appropriate strategies to ensure effective cost control and commercial advantage, including the development of opponent specific strategies to ensure best settlement methods.
•    Monitor the key external and changes to the claims environment and quantify the likely impact on claims costs and making the necessary changes in our settlement plans to counteract any external changes.  
•    Build a culture of responsibility and empower others to act and look for opportunities to learn and develop ourselves and deliver sustainably business performance 
•    Work closely with Motor damage teams in our Derry call centre and our Engineering Function in Dublin to optimise customer journey’s, maximise best practice and cost control management.   
•    Manage Motor Damage services such as Salvage, Motor Engineers, and other key supplier networks in Republic of Ireland.
•    Represent AXA on various external committees which are crucial to understanding and influencing the Motor Damage environment in ROI
•    Develop key controls for ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements including Solvency II, Group Standards and other external regulations impacting Motor Damage Claims
•    Manage customer experience to continuously improve and deliver excellence in our customer journey
•    Identification and management of Risk within the Claims area.


Your Profile

•    10+ years’ experience of managing a Motor Damage function, with proven technical claims background with knowledge of relevant claims regulatory and legislative environment
•    Knowledgeable on external market factors impacting on personal injury claims
•    Extensive practical experience of optimising performance, meeting deadlines/targets and achieving results in a similar environment. 
•    Strong overall leadership skills with a pragmatic, common sense attitude and positive approach to coaching & mentoring teams
•    CIP essential and working to MDI/ACII/FCII beneficial
•    Customer First orientated, and adept at leveraging customer data and insights to meet customer needs  
•    Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence at all levels throughout the organisation especially ability to develop senior reciprocal relationships
•    Strong project manager with excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload in order to deliver on objectives and to make deadlines.
•    Experienced negotiator, highly pragmatic with a hands-on approach to deliver solutions 
•    Strong analytical ability with ability to present data in a user friendly way.
