- Fund accountant
Under the supervision of the team manager, the Candidate is responsible for all the administrative events related to the IMA functions assigned to ensure the timely and accurate process of the underlying portfolios. The Candidate is an integral part of delivering quality service to assigned portfiolos and all actions must be considered as part of this overall goal. Achieving quality of service is a team effort and the Candidate needs to function at all times as a team player.
Specific Duties & Standards
The Fund Accountant will undertake a number of fundamental tasks as follows:
performing accounting activities for the assigned mandates
performing daily checks and controls aiming to ensure total accuracy of all accounting data
managing daily reconciliations breaks, following up on unsettled cash entries with the bank, including automated and manual cash reconciliations
creating and Maintaining accurate reconciliation system records
providing accurate information in cash reconciliations, including corporate action and income related entries and records
participating in user acceptance of new / upgraded software as required.
Experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent (preferably in business or finance)
Must have 1-2 years experience in the financial services industry
Skills: Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Desirable
Knowledge of Fund accounting activities
English language spoken and written
