Our client provides logistics management and services to its operating companies as well as other companies in the United States. This company offers services such as Warehousing, Brokerage, Import and Export Compliance, Transportation Management, Project Logistics, and Consultancy on Logistics Solutions.
Freight Forwarding Sales Manager
The primary purpose of the Sales Manager position is to establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers. Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets. Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered by the company. Interact regularly operations managers and develop close and cooperative working relationships with operational staff to ensure the customer’s needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Seek and prospect ground opportunities.
• Establish relationships, build trust and rapport.
• Work with C-Suite to establish customer needs.
• Work internally to devise solutions for the potential customer.
• Prospect new business with sales team, seeking to meet the strategic growth ambitions defined by the company.
• Grow and retain existing business, while pursuing new customers.
• Present new opportunities and request the appropriate stakeholder collaboration to validate customer approach.
• Collaborate with teams on Request for Quotation (RFQ), pricing, and handover preparations.

Experience:

• 5+ years of field sales experience in logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Works well under pressure and stress.
• Team player with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High energy and performance level.
• Must be able to travel when requested.
