Position
The EH&S Manager EMEA is responsible for leading the environmental, health and safety issues of the Retail and Office area for the EMEA region. He/she supports the Head of EH&S & Facility in the implementation of corporate HSE guidelines and is responsible for the accurate and complete application of EH&S regulations within his assigned perimeter. Provides support for risk assessment and collaborate with other technical figures (Store Operation / Store Planning / Store Manager / Facilities / Safety Officer, etc.) in order to ensure that the company regulations are accurately implemented. The resource will be responsible of the following activities:
* Ensures the updating and implementation of company guidelines in EH&S within the various Countries;
* Ensures monitoring of applicable regulations in the HSE area through access to databases/regulatory newsletters and other sources and provides the accurate communication flow to responsible figures;
* Is responsible for and must ensure the accurate circulation of company directives and worker training and information programs;
* Is in charge of the mapping of processes and the drafting and carrying out of procedures and instructions ensuring uniformity of approach;
* Drafts and keeps up to date the necessary forms and reports (flowcharts, safety operating instructions, procedures, record sheets, etc.) and looks after their distribution, recording and archiving;
* Ensures the proper implementation and related monitoring of legal provisions on EH&S;
* Ensures the application and maintenance of the Integrated Health, Safety and Environmental Management System;
* Verifies the status of workplaces and their compliance with health, safety, ergonomics, and accessibility requirements as well as fire safety and evacuation requirements;
* Leads and coordinates the activities of local external consultants;
* Conducts accident and injury analysis and suggests improvements needed to prevent the causes of injury, while promoting the spread of Safety culture;
* Supports the various local teams for all HSE aspects and in taking care of local agencies and authorities;
* Conducts audits and inspections at offices and stores noting any non-compliance with regulations and develops appropriate improvement plans.
Profile
* University degree in technical fields, preferably engineering or prevention techniques.
* At least 5/7 years as HSE Manager and RSPP within companies with retail network.
* Willingness to travel throughout Europe at least once ever two weeks.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility management systems.
* Strong problem-solving orientation and willingness to work for objectives, excellent management and organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and social skills and ability to interact cross-functionally with other business areas, presiding over the regulatory environment with consistency and accuracy.
* Proficient in spoken and written English and PC usage. Knowledge of French language is considered a plus
