Job Description

As our EMEA Payroll Manager, you will work independently, overseeing Spanish payroll and a small team, as well as being the key escalation point for several other EU countries. you will have the unique opportunity to build and expand our team's knowledge across various countries.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Oversee payroll operations within specific countries in the EMEA region
• Implement and monitor payroll policies and procedures in line with regional and global guidelines
• Manage and process complex payroll activities, such as benefits and retirement deductions, tax reporting, and compliance duties
• Provide guidance and support to Payroll Managers and their teams in the region
• Handle escalated payroll issues and provide solutions
• Assist with the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations
• Participate in payroll system implementations and improvements

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field
• 5-7 years of payroll experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role in a multinational company
• Licenses/Certifications: Professional certification in Payroll, Finance, or HR from a recognized international institution preferred

• Please note: this is an internal non-client facing position
• Whilst this is a fully remote position based out of Spain, which will suit candidates used to working independently and remotely there is an option to work out of our Madrid office.
• Payroll Agency experience either in house or as a client is preferred
