We are looking for an associate Professor in Machine Learning for Natural Language Processing to join the Statistics, Signal and Learning (S²A) team in the Images, Data, Signal department. The research will be carried out within the Information Processing and Communication Laboratory (LTCI). Since 2017, this laboratory has continued to carry out the research developed within the CNRS laboratory of the same name.
As an associate professor, you will be responsible for research and teaching in the field of machine Learning applied to automatic language processing. You will work closely with a dynamic team of researchers and engineers, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this exciting field.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Conducting cutting-edge research in machine Learning for automatic language processing
- Participating in collaborative research projects
- Publishing articles in internationally renowned scientific journals
- Teaching courses related to machine Learning and automatic language processing
- Supervise students in their research projects
Job requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have PhD, you must develop your research in machine Learning applied to the field of Natural Language Proecessing and Information Retrieval. In particular, applicants working in one or more of the following research areas are welcome:
- Large Language Models
- Generative models, Conversational AI
- Bias and Explainability in AI
- Frugal Machine Learning
You should also be able to work independently and in a team, and have a creative approach to solving complex problems.

Selection The selection process takes place in 5 stages:
- Elimination of applications that do not meet the required qualifications
- Discussion with the host team to draw up a shortlist of candidates
- Preliminary interview with Human Resources
- Hearing by the recruitment committee and ranking of shortlisted candidates
- Final interview with the Director of Télécom Paris
