We are currently hiring a Quality Engineer role to support our Florence, SC plant. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to gain valuable experience with a greenfield operation and contribute to a growing company. What will you do in this role? - Develop programs and initiate activities to assure maintenance of an acceptable quality management system. - Lead and support quality system or product quality improvement activities using innovative methods to meet product launch. - Recommends improvements to enhance departmental operation and prevent customer quality problems. - Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth. - Defines and establishes market-focused quality targets for all assigned products or processing plans. What does it take to be successful in this role? - Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering). - 5+ years of directly related professional-level Engineering experience working in manufacturing. - 2+ years of battery industry experience is a must. - Detailed understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6.3. - Must have good understanding of root cause analysis (RCA), problem solving techniques, and process control management for quality and throughput issue resolution. - Working knowledge of project management related to the introduction of products to market and PPAP’s to the customer. - Able to work and lead contractors through the process of RFP to commissioning of equipment. - New plant design, model experience and equipment design, installation, and commissioning a plus.
