Description

We are seeking a Vice President, Legal Counsel, to oversee and manage all litigation-related matters globally. This position reports to the SVP/Deputy General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of complex litigation matters in the US and EMEA, inclusive of coordination with external and internal counsel and internal stakeholders to develop case strategy and oversee legal budgets.
  • Provide timely updates and overviews of active cases.
  • Respond to subpoenas and other litigation-related matters; manage internal information and document collection.
  • Identify litigation trends and improvement opportunities, and partner with internal stakeholders to design and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support other internal legal teams (example: Employment Law, Ethics and Compliance) as requested.

Requirements

  • JD or LLM degree and active bar membership required.
  • At least 10 years of litigation experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey key points clearly and succinctly to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
  • Knowledge of e-discovery platforms and approaches.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of internal teams, including but not limited to Employment Law, Commercial Legal, Human Resources, IT, Finance, Internal Audit, Ethics and Compliance, and the Office of the Ombuds.
  • Comfort working in high-growth environments that demand year-over-year improvement at both the individual and team level.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally if needed.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 220,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
