Come work on the Amazon Robotics – Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team!
We are looking for an outstanding Technical Program Manager who will develop, implement, and improve the Performance Management and performance indicator landscape for the organization's products. This person will partner with internal Customers (Operations, Maintenance, Process, OpsEngineering, etc.), external stakeholders (e.g. vendors) and MSP team members to ensure solutions meet requirements regarding Performance Management.
The primary role of the MSP team is to drive future innovation across all aspects of Mechatronics and Packaging, across industrial hardware/control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies and packaging materials. We drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, etc. to ensure we deliver robust products that effectively integrate into the Amazon Fulfillment network.
The Technical Program Manager - Performance Management will drive initiatives to ensure our product's Performance Management capabilities (KPI systems, access to information and deep dive opportunities) meet the high bar of our customer's requirements. This will require close collaboration with customers (primarily Customer Fulfillment Operations) and stakeholders (for example ACES, WWDE, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Finance).
A successful candidate is able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously and effectively leverages support from other teams and peers within their own team. Effective verbal and written communication is a key skill to generate alignment between MSP and other functions. They will work successfully across multiple large engineering and operations teams and drive quality across all our products. This candidate requires strong attention to detail, technical penetration, excellent communication skills, collaboration, analytical and abstract thinking, time management and organizational skills.
Flexible locations across the EU (Italy, Germany, Spain and France) and the UK.
Key job responsibilities
• Travel up to 50% of the time across Europe, to capture voice-of-the-customer and anecdotes first hand, and generate buy-in for initiatives
• Collaborate with BI/Data Engineering teams to drive the delivery of KPIs and access to information
• Support reporting of key performance metrics across internal & external stakeholders
• Work closely with technical leaders and Program Managers to compose and influence product improvement roadmap
• Work closely with technical leaders and Program Managers to compose and influence capital appropriation request process
• Write effective narratives and present them to Directors and VPs
• Unblock other team members through access to information, and support their inquiries for decision-critical information
• Demonstrate strong program management, organizational, and leadership skills to facilitate effective, collaborative project meetings

QUALIFICHE DI BASE

- Excellent communication skills (English) required. Other EU languages will be considered a plus
- Years of technical product or program management experience, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience managing Technical Programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Ability to understand Operational processes and hands-on experience

QUALIFICHE PREFERENZIALI

- Years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
