Within the Group, you will join Group Financial Risk Management as a Senior Financial Risk Manager.

This role oversees the reinforcement and optimization of Financial Risk Management processes and frameworks.

Context & Major Challenges

The Group Risk Management primary objective is to secure and optimize the risk positions of the Group, by developing expert risk knowledge and setting up the appropriate risk frameworks and controls. The GRM department has been structured along with the nature of risk and the Financial Risks are likely to be the most important risks the Group has to manage.

As part of the Group Risk Management department, the Financial Risk Management team contributes to the management and optimization of the Financial Risks for all AXA operating units and the Group. Main Financial Risks are pertaining to assets, derivatives, ALM positions and liquidity needs. All these risks are captured in risk frameworks which, combined with in-depth analysis of some complex risk topics, ensure that risk exposures remain in line with risk appetite. These frameworks, implemented at Group and local entity level, require technical and operational excellence to be efficient.

Key Accountabilities

• Drive evolution of Financial Risk Management frameworks

• Review methodologies and underlying assumptions to frame the main Financial Risks such as liquidity risk, interest rate risk, FX risk, etc.

• Review implementation of risk frameworks.

• Reinforce the level of control on Financial Risk Management processes.

• Create synergies between entities and Group Financial Risk Management teams.
• Make recommendations about further automation of processes and collaborate with IT to implement solutions.
• Engage at senior level with the entities and Group functions to drive transformation for Group Financial Risk Management.

Competencies

• 10+ years’ experience in Financial Risk management (or similar role with transferable skills), with deep understanding of the main Financial Risks borne by an insurance company (liquidity risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, investment risk, FX risk, etc.).
• Project management skills with the ability to drive multidimensional and functional teams combined with strong organizational skills.
• Change Leader, builds strong partnerships and effectively influence stakeholders; clearly communicates and drives alignments on shared outcomes; extreme ownership on outcomes with strategic and operational rigor
