JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain all engineering systems onboard, ensuring they are operational and compliant with international standards.
Supervise and lead the engine room team in daily duties, ensuring effective performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Manage routine maintenance and emergency repairs of mechanical and electrical systems, including the main engine, auxiliary systems, and deck machinery.
Assist the Chief Engineer in planning and implementing maintenance schedules, and manage inventory of spare parts and consumables.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Operate and maintain dynamic positioning systems with a focus on DP maintenance.
Prepare and maintain accurate logs and engineering records as required by maritime law.
Additional Skills:
Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and equipment.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team building and training.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Commitment to safety protocols and environmental protection standards.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Willingness to undertake continuous professional development.
