Your Role
You will be responsible for the smooth and compliant operations of all customs-related activities while keeping abreast of updated customs related regulations
Your Responsibilities
- To take lead in driving implementation of customs related projects, ensuring seamless onboarding.
- To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to customs brokers,
government agencies, trade compliance associations and customers. - To ensure accuracy of customs declaration form(s) submission and complete related activities as required by
the government, facilitating timely clearance of all shipments. - To monitor performance of customs-related suppliers and end-to-end customs activities, including but not
limited to checking of documents, entering data in relevant systems, inspections of goods, clearance and third-
party documents. - To arrange for product re-classification with customs ruling department if required.
- To oversee loading and unloading activities, escalate any defects to relevant parties and follow up with necessary
surveys. - To create standard operating procedures, identify business risks and provide trainings whenever required.
- To attend to customs examinations and ensure relevant certifications are valid.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Over 10 years experience in Customs job function
- Over 3 years experience in managerial role leading a team of minimum 3 people
- Good command of English
- Excellent communication skills
- Fast learner and tech-savvy
- Being active and initiative to solve the problems
