Scope of duties

• Applications are invited for a postdoc position at the Endocrine Research Labs of the Medical Department IV /  University of Munich on the transregional CRC / TRR 205‚ The Adrenal: Central Relay in Health and Disease funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). In an unique effort, top level researchers and doctors of the University Hospitals of Munich, Dresden and Würzburg as well as the Helmholtz Zentrum Munich will promote the understanding of humoral and molecular mechanisms of adrenal diseases and develop improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
• The postdoc will be joining a highly motivated team of researchers at the LMU Klinikum studying the role of glucocorticoids and sex steroids in health and disease and in particular their interplay with the immune system. A special focus will also be the role of 11-oxygenated androgens in endocrine diseases. The successful applicant will be expected to attend and present his or her data at national and international scientific conferences.

Our requirements

• M.Sc. degree or equivalent and PhD in a biological or biochemical discipline with essential knowledge of good clinical research
• Strong experience in cell culture techniques (culturing, transfection, etc.)
• Experience with LCMSMS is a plus
• Flow cytometry
• Immunofluorescence
• Molecular biology (genotyping, cloning, site-directed mutagenesis)
• Genetics, qPCR
• Preparation of publications and lectures
