EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
This exciting role is inside the Remote Access Product team, part of the ESPM Network Product team in Enterprise Technology. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a network/security background. In the role of a Remote Access Product Manager you'll assisting the ESPM Remote Access Product lead with requirements analysis, content creation and general product management activities as we adopt a new methodology for managing ESPM deliverables. This will include ensuring key technologies associated with remote access solutions are suitably documented and stakeholder communications are managed correctly. Additionally, you will work with technology project teams and business clients to translate business requirements into solutions and documentation.
Your key responsibilities
Your role is essential to the success of the team’s products. As a Product Manager within the Remote Access Product team you will have the responsibility for the end to end life cycle of a Remote Access Product, working with the Global Remote Access service Leader to deliver and integrate product across the EY enterprise.
You will be involved in all aspects of product management including: Planning, Innovation, working with both Engineering & Operational Support, Financial Management, Security and Compliance, Vendor and Stakeholder Management, Marketing and Adoption.
The role has various reporting requirements which will require the ability to create, revise, and adjust relevant product reports based on the audience. Performing fit-gap analyses of business requirements against the capabilities of the technical solution, including identifying areas where requirements and package capabilities are not in sync. Working with technology vendors to understand the roadmap and whether the identified gaps can be filled, and when which would then further refine the product roadmap as delivered to internal stakeholders
Skills and attributes for success
- This role will require technical awareness of, but not necessarily procifiency in, Remote Access products of various types, the interactions between these products and their dependent technologies to enable a remote access solution to be fit for purpose in a large global organisation.
- Familiarity of Product Management tools [Aha! preferred] to enable the generation of product plans, roadmaps and iterative releases in a technology environment.
- Work with business sponsors and stakeholders to understand requirements and turn that into actionable plans whilst balancing both local and global requirements and understanding one size does not fit all.
- Able to make technically aware decisions in support of Architecture, Strategy, Service Management and Operations functions within the product management and escalated troubleshooting contexts
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with external vendors and suppliers in the Remote Access industry sector
- Excellent knowledge of remote access technology, environments, management and monitoring tools associated with EY security systems
To qualify for the role, you must have
- You must be a Self-starter who can operate without direct supervision on multiple complex projects and tasks in parallel
- Present complex and difficult messages skilfully, using a variety of media and methods.
- Produce writing that contains clear, precise, descriptive language.
- Maintains awareness of related new and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of dependent technologies such as
- Windows specifically around networking
- Authentication, such as AD/AzureAD and Multi Factor Authentication solutions.
- Splunk reporting and data mining capability.
- Technology requirements;
- SSE / SASE technology understanding at the component level examples;
- Palo Alto Prisma Access SASE components
- Zscaler Cloud Security technologies
- SD-WAN awareness preferably Versa
- Wider cloud technologies, SAML Integrations, Azure AD
- SonicWall VPN technologies an advantage
- Firewall (Check Point/Palo Alto/Fortinet)
- Understanding of networking concepts, including IoT.
- SSE / SASE technology understanding at the component level examples;
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management or a related discipline, plus an industry accreditation or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrable experience in Product management.
- Service management qualifications [ITIL Foundation]
