The role reports to the Production Manager and is located in Hackettstown, New Jersey. As a Material Coordinator, you will utilizing your experience in Logistics/Warehousing to conduct all activities related to the handling of parts and semi-finished or final products in the Switchgear production line to/from Switchgear locations/warehouses/ Molding, including picking shortages, components stock for dispatch, final packing on pallets, transportation of boxes, and various other collection, storage, and warehouse activities. You will prioritize safety and quality in your daily work.Salary starts at $19 (depends on the experience)Shift Time : 6.30am to 2.30 pm

Your responsibilities

  • Audit picked orders/pallets/baskets and racks for accuracy, adjust inventory in Warehouse Management System (WMS), cycle count excess product with the assistance of the storekeepers
  • Create and perform cycle counts of all picks against the Bill of materials (BOM’s)
  • Receive communications from internal software (KBM) to check inventory, pull orders, audit, analyze and resolve any discrepancies found
  • Verify, process and issue material requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of stock room and production floor job staging area
  • Ensure operations are following Engineering and Manufacturing Quality System, Hackettstown Plant specifications and requirements
  • Support for KANBAN replenishment areas
  • Work with appropriate logistics and inventory Storekeepers to ensure timely movement and utilization of inventory
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials between departments according to production schedules from Switchgear, warehouses, and Molding departments
  • Track and monitor all inventory inaccuracies in Switchgear for root cause identification
  • Execute the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines
  • Performs other routine activities according to established procedures
  • Maintain professional work behaviour including approachability, patience, and mutual respect
  • All other duties, as assigned

Your background

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift to 40 pounds
  • Ability to perform push and pull functions
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • Forklift certified, preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
