MAC Retail Trainer Sud - Sost. Maternità Description The Area Retail Trainer supports the M·A·C Vision and drives sales through the development, knowledge and skills of our Retail leaders and Retail Artists, across multiple channels through in-store education, classroom-based education, virtual & digital. This involves elevating the customer service, artistry, product knowledge, virtual selling and commercial skills of the Retail Managers and Retail Artists by facilitating all Art and Commerce Education Fundamentals. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Drive Brand Sales through excellence in execution of Art and Commerce Education Fundamentals: In Real Life - Facilitate All Education training - Basic Training, Specialty Multi Basic Training, classroom M·A·C Update, One Day Orientation, Advanced Makeup & Fashion Show Skill Certification with Makeup Artistry, Online/Email an Artist Training, Omni-channel education. Facilitate/support Retail Manager M·A·C Update, Retail Manager Academy, MRO Milestone and other CT&D classroom education initiatives- aligning with Sales Department Development of field teams - feed the commercial, artistry, product knowledge and customer service skills of the field teams, giving them the tools to support the in-store business through Art and Commerce following up in key focus doors In-Store Support Physically/Virtually - Follow up in focus doors on Education Fundamentals through the ASM and Retail Managers to ensure training initiatives are effectively translated into behaviors that support excellence in service, artistry and product knowledge. Drive Self Led Learning through Digital - Create locally relevant artistry, service and product knowledge-focused tutorial videos for e-learning site in collaboration with the Make Up Artistry/PR and Consumer marketing teams Play active role in refining and evolving the Education and business strategy for the region by: Align with the ASM , leveraging feedback from the field on the effectiveness of education initiatives, gather training needs analysis , staff performance/mystery shop results , and general sales and education business gaps - meeting those gaps through education initiatives and direction for the Retail Mangers Attending select monthly counter meetings in focus doors with partner, and participating by presenting ideas, discussing departmental developments, coaching and supporting others. Executing training solutions to regional challenges including weak sell-through results, challenges with product categories, service challenges, etc. Organizing a monthly schedule that supports the needs of the business through efficient facilitation of Education Fundamentals, CT&D classroom-based trainings and other educational initiatives, in store time, coaching of Managers, meetings, etc. Lead and develop employees by: Feed the field leaders with tools needed to effectively empower the Retail Managers to drive their teams and business to success Supporting the interviewing and selection of M·A·C Artists in collaboration with field leaders where necessary and succession planning programs for M·A·C Managers and Artists by recommending and creating development opportunities Assisting in the implementation of measures to reduce and minimize staff turnover including coaching and developing others, providing clear feedback and offering ways to effectively and efficiently improve. Overseeing the Affiliate Educational schedules in collaboration with National Education Manager and Education co coordinator Financial Accountabilities: Ensure the timely submission and accuracy of credit card statements, expense reports and company-owned asset forms. Assist in reviewing and tracking expenditures in accordance with departmental/affiliate budgets. Help ensure training premises are maintained, clean, functional and properly equipped. Help maintain security and control of training equipment materials within the training premises. Adhere to and provide the example for M·A·C policies regarding customer service expectations, dress code and M·A·C’s professional standards. Qualifications Specialist education in Makeup Artistry or Equivalent experience from the makeup industry. Higher education is a must. Strong communication skills including public speaking, facilitation and content creation. Strong ability to analyze retail environment needs and provide actionable training solutions. Must be versatile and have the ability to adapt approach to all levels of the business from top management to retail artists Organizational skills including planning of larger events, budgets and retail KPI analyses.
