The main purpose of this role is to ensure Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Learning and Assessment) meets and surpasses its sales and group contribution targets for the market.
About the role
Together with the Country Manager, the Key Account Manager plays a critical role in cultivating and maintaining the company's most important customers relationships. The role holder acts as the primary point of contact, ensuring clients satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
You will be responsible for understanding the unique needs and strategic goals of our key customers, coordinating internal resources to meet these needs, and identifying opportunities for business growth. By delivering tailored solutions and providing exceptional service, the Key Account Manager enhances customers loyalty and drives significant revenue for the company.
Key Accountabilities:
Key Account Management
- Oversee existing public and private sector accounts, identify new opportunities, and offer complex solutions, including tailored learning materials and assessments.
- Analyse industry trends to propose innovative content and programs in various formats.
- Address customer issues and complaints to uphold trust.
- Represent the organization at industry events and meet sales targets for learning solutions accounts.
Sales Administration and Reporting
- Manage the sales pipeline and documentation for project P&L.
- Conduct monthly project status reports and budget alignment.
- Utilise CRM effectively for accurate dashboards and updates.
- Provide stakeholders with progress reports and forecasts using key metrics.
Academic Support
- Utilize academic resources like videos, articles, and toolkits to support customers.
- Present products with an academic perspective, aligning with customers' educational goals.
- Deliver academic presentations to various stakeholders, including students and teachers.
About you
You will have experience of successfully plan and deliver sales plans in learning and/or assessment with focus in high value opportunities. As our next Key Account Manager, you will have excellent commercial awareness/acumen with focus in serving the customer with our unique solutions and products. You are results orientated with the ability to think strategically.
In addition, you will also:
- Hold a graduate level or equivalent education – essential.
- Hold a BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field – desirable.
- Language skills: Minimum C1 level in local language and B2 in English.
- Knowledge of educational systems in the territory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
- Excellent Organisational skills.
- Ability in problem-solving and negotiation.
- Strong team player and collaborator.
- Agile thinker with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances through creative problem-solving.
- Customer centred.
- Availability to travel.
