Job Description Summary: Designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle.  Provides the necessary documentation.  Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages.  Mentors those in less senior positions.

Technical leadership position within a growth organization at FedEx which will positively influence & impact customers around the planet.  The Global Clearance IT organization is committed to delivering high-quality, reliable & resilient custom software solutions to meet the needs of our global community. Leads designs, codes, tests, and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides technical guidance, necessary documentation, production support and coaching to the junior team members.

  • Test Driven Development
  • API Definition to Functional Code
  • Translate Acceptance Criteria into functional code
  • Understand effective testing strategies
  • Ability to Mock and get stories accepted from mocked component interactions & interfaces
  • Code based on API Contract
  • Understanding and Building with Open API
  • Adjust Scrum Team mental model on User Stories based on feedback
  • Think outside of the box for multiple implementations to gain Acceptance Criteria
  • Code delivery using Flow automation, CI/CD/CT Cadence using autobahn pipelines
  • Active participant in Scrum Team Demos
  • Attend/Influence Release Planning Events (PIPE)
  • Adopt Automated Testing with alignment to Agile Testing Pyramid (Blue, Black, Orange Test thinking and annotation)
  • Advocate for small incremental change and Scrum Team flow in smaller batches of value
  • Improve ability to point stories
  • Awareness and Creation of Enabler Stories
  • Technologies growth and learning (Spring Boot, Swagger Hub, Postman, Junit, Java script, Mockito, Etc.)
  • Ability to take wireframes into Angular Adoption with tooling like Zeppelin
  • Seek guidance from App Arch
  • Pair with App Arch to give context to Implementation pattern alternatives
  • Creation and Tuning of Feature Flags and configuration automation with awareness to system symbolic automation
  • Orchestration of app monitoring and logging best practices (AppD, Splunk, etc.) 
  • Proactively provide testing scenarios for completed stories
  • Take initiative
  • Participate in Scrum Team 2x2 Skills enablement for DEVs

Domicile/Relocation: Collierville, TN, Relocation Assistance is provided for this position.

Remote Verbiage: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Four (4) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Salary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $8,793.00 - $11,273.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
