Front Office Manager - 5*L hotel in Venice
For an iconic 5- star Luxury hotel in Venice , we’re looking for a:
Front Office Manager
You will be reporting to the Director of Operations and directly responsible for the operations of the Front Office Team
- Directing Front Office operations such as checking in, checking out and providing guest assistance whilst ensuring compliance with all Front Office policies, procedures, standards and focus on guest’s satisfaction and needs.
- Participating in the development, implementation and review of the policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
- Selecting, training, developing, scheduling, and managing the performance of direct subordinates to ensure the efficient running of Front Office operations.
- Greeting VIP guests upon their arrival and escort them to their room and establishing good rapport as well as offering assistance for the duration of their stay.
- Identifying training needs, planning training activities and overseeing their implementation for all front desk sections as well as following up to ensure compliance and efficiency of training activities.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and manning guide and manage within budgetary guidelines.
- Keeping abreast of all emergency procedures, hotel promotions, product knowledge, VIP arrivals, upcoming events and brief direct subordinates accordingly so that all Front Office staff is able to answer upon guest requests and questions.
- Keeping the Front Office staff motivated through constant care and feedback
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in same or similar role, preferably in a luxury environment
- Good communicator and natural leader
- Fluent in Italian and English; any additional language would be considered a plus
