Fleet Service Writer

Fleet Service Writer
Our client is seeking an experienced and professional Fleet Service Writer to join their team.
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:

• Creates work order for job, enters job description, reviews work order, and closes work order.
• Enters detailed description of repairs needed and assists in scheduling the unit for future work to be completed after the proper parts have arrived.
• Enter all outsourced work into the maintenance software.
• Maintain accurate service records for all repairs.
• Assist in scheduling outsourced repair work.
• Assist in providing repair quotes for Fleet Service Manager.
• Send out detailed e-mails daily to division heads to update repair statuses.
• Assist with duties delegated from Fleet Service Manager.
• Verify and enter all shop invoices/credit card charges into the system.
• Work closely with inside parts associate and AP department to ensure invoices are correct and credits are applied.
• Track core charges and credits as needed.
• Create weekly work order summary reports and email to management.
• Assist Fleet Service Manager as needed.
• Assist Management with any reports or work orders as needed.

Experience:

• Must be good at multi-tasking
• Must have effective communication skills
• Must have good computer skills and knowledgeable in Excel and Word
• Basic knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment a plus
