As a ELDS (EL Distribution Solution Division) SALES Specialist for Electrification Business Area in Shinagawa Japan, you will be responsible for sales of EL Distribution Solution Division (ELDS), within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues, and identify and develop sales opportunities. The local legal entity of this position is ABB K.K.

Your responsibilities

  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account by providing the customer’s current business and long-term plans.
  • Defining and proposing revenues and gross margin targets for the account and ensure the achievement with a structured follow up process.
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Proposing recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls
  • Planning the strategy to establish and develop account relationships. Acts as focal point for problem resolution and monitors the Customer Claims. Planning, facilitating and conducting customer negotiations
  • Developing, maintaining and sharing detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition
  • Selling products and/or solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Division. Promoting Frame Agreement with the customer
  • Monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented
  • Ensuring the successful outcome of sales transactions, contracts and proposals. Communicating details in accordance with ABB supply, offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions)

Your background

  • Bachelor of degree
  • At least 5+year SALES Specialist experience
  • Experience of finding new business/Customers is mandatory
  • Preferred Market knowledge / key customer management
  • Preferred Knowledge on electrical product business
  • Experience in direct communication with Japanese industrial customer
  • JLPT N1 level in in Japanese
