The Demand Management Officer is responsible for capturing all demands from the Entities in his/her scope. He/she helps to categorise the demands and identify if a GO Product(s) is available, or a new solution is needed. He/she ensures relevant scoping is performed, passes the demand packages to the correct teams and owns the final proposals. He/she oversees the demand planning activities, ensuring resources are available, helping to manage conflicting priorities and ensuring funding is in place and approval to proceed. He/she owns the overall Demand Managment process, monitors demands implementation progress, and communicates with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of IT solutions.
The reporting line for this position is structured as follows:
- N+1: Demand Management Lead
- N+2: Head of Partnership
- N+3: Head of Market

The division
Group Technology Operations (GTO) aims at designing, developing, and operating Global AXA IT products, delivering them to AXA Entities and the AXA Group, at the right level of quality of service and cost and aligned with business-driven priorities. Its missions can be summarized in four main activities: global product delivery, global product portfolio management, day-to-day operations management, and entities proximity management.
The department / team
You will join the “GTO French Market” department, working closely for Transnational entities, AXA France and its affiliates. Our main missions:
- Be the main point of contact for entities, act as an ambassador, related to services and products delivered by AXA Group Operations (AXA GO) and support the implementation of the Tech & Data Operations (TDO) strategy.
- Lead GO / AXA GO Product adoption, working in strong collaboration with Product Teams.
- Be accountable to the entities Partnership, QoS & the day-to-day operational delivery and be a key point of escalation for entities.
- Promote and implement the GO Target Operating Model with entities, to enable proper consumption of GO Products and Services.
- Be the key “sensors” to provide data inputs to GO teams, through the local proximity and deep understanding of the entities.
- Act as the GO proximity service providing account management, Demand Management, product support and project delivery.
About the job
Demand Intake and Scoping
- Capture the business demands and have an overview of all demands for his/her scope (Entity / Country / Market)
- Work closely with Product Business Partners / Market Integration Experts to ensure pre-scoping is performed to identify if existing products are available, or if a new solution is required
- Depending on the size of the demand, responsible for the scoping and engagement towards the Entity
- Ensure business needs and priorities are understood to support the business strategy
- Help assess the future demands for the Business
- Working closely with the Product teams, the Demand Manager is responsible for the scoping (design) and engagement regarding demand towards the Entity
- Identifying the components of the demand to segregate work packages by delivery workstreams and allocate accordingly for detailed scoping. Engaging with all necessary teams accordingly to ensure demand activities are understood
- Consolidate all workstream information into the overall proposal and then own the proposal towards the requestor and deliver within the agreed timeline
Demand Planning
- Request the necessary resources and ensure they are available to meet the demand
- Help with portfolio prioritisation from an Entity perspective
- Help address any competing, or conflicting demands
- Intermediate with GO Project Management allocation
- Ensure funding is approved before proceeding with the next steps, if no PM is assigned
- If the demand is significant enough to become a project, formally add the project to the Global project portfolio
Delivery, Monitoring & Reporting
- Own the Demand Management Process for the Entity / Country / Market and ensure all defined steps are followed appropriately.
- Support and oversee all demand coming from the Entities (vs GO triggered projects) in the Quarterly Business Review and Annual Business Review for all Entities
- Monitor and report on the portfolio of demand and ensure effective closure – providing required information to Market / Partnership Head, Account Manager, PBP
- Support the escalation process for projects – The Squad agree that this should be removed as this should be the Account Manager, or Project Manager
- Ensure all demands are monitored and reported on to give a holistic view – to be shared in relevant governance with the Entity (Project Review Board where instated)
- Be informed when a Product enhancement, or feature request is added to the Product lifecycle timeline and therefore not to be delivered immediately – to ensure the information is passed back to the requestor

Experience
- Good IT background
- Experience of working in a global Organization
- Good understanding of Group Operations Governance
- Good understanding of GO financial, project and product processes.
- Good understanding of Demand Management processes
Business and functional skills
- Have a very strong understanding of the Demand Management process and any supporting processes
- Have a basic knowledge of Product families GO strategy, Tech and Data roadmap, objectives, organization, and policies
- An understanding of the AXA GO Product catalogue
- Where relevant, a good understanding of insurance business needs/challenges of the Opco in the short and long term
- Client focused and service minded with sound business thinking
- Understanding of the Product pricing model
- Strong understanding of GO Operations activities project / program delivery
- The ability to learn fast, stay current and have a basic technical understanding of the Products.
- Ability to understand cost of ownership
- Have a good overview of all GO Programs and inter-dependencies
