Job Title: Teach Cambridge, Content & Platform Manager

Salary: £33,300-£43,400

Location: Cambridge, Coventry

Contract: Full time, fixed term maternity cover until April 2025

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

We are looking for an experienced content production manager to help develop and deliver excellent services for our customers as part of OCR's teacher support services.  You will be working with stakeholders to establish and manage publishing processes, content architecture and continuous improvement for our new teacher website Teach Cambridge. You'll also be contributing to related strategic change programmes and integration with other teacher support platforms including the OCR pubic website.

About the role

This role owns overall management of content and publishing on the Teach Cambridge platform to drive the optimum customer experience of our teacher support. You'll be developing and owning frameworks and guidance for key stakeholder groups, and providing a publishing service for other departments. You are responsible for translating agreed strategic and customer priorities into ongoing content architecture and change implementation, including creating new frameworks for new qualifications. You will also collaboratively manage integration of teacher support content with the OCR public website.

  • Content Management: Publish and display content on the Teach Cambridge platform to ensure customers have the best possible understanding of and access to OCR support. Understand the customer journey between different sources of content, and support the strategic direction for the platform.
  • Content management framework: Own the detailed content structuring on the Teach Cambridge platform, implementing strategic priorities agreed with the Product Owner, and working with SMEs. Contribute to discussions with content owners/project managers to provide advice on how to display content in the most effective way for customers, undertaking regular proactive content audits.
  • Content integration and alignment: Work with the web team to coordinate consistent content management, content principles with the OCR public website and alignment to wider CUPA and UK schools style guides. Ensure a smooth customer experience of content between Teach Cambridge and other support services.
  • User support and training: Support devolved users with training, QA and issue management, ensuring devolved user accounts are setup and running correctly.
  • Relationship management: manage key relationships to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the platform, including with technical support, content owners, key change projects, corporate web and brand programmes and other digital product teams.
  • Policy: Understand and implement regulatory/policy changes that affect the content on the platform, and digital platforms generally, maintaining best practice and conventions.
  • Promotion and communication: Promote adoption of Teach Cambridge through supporting communications or campaigns, reporting on and analysing usage, and monitoring customer feedback. Understand and support the role that Teach Cambridge has in supporting wider cross-audience messaging.
  • Data: Own, share and maintain Teach Cambridge data. Work with the wider business to integrate with other systems as part of wider data strategy initiatives.
  • Technical Support: work with the technical support teams to manage Teach Cambridge issue reporting, investigation, comms and resolution

About you

  • You will be an experienced manager, with a track record of project management or programme delivery.
  • A degree-level qualification is desirable, or other qualifications showing evidence of written analytical skills and understanding of conceptual approaches. You should be familiar with using various project management approaches and tools.
  • Knowledge of assessment content or the field of educational qualifications is an advantage, but not essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for building their learning and self-development to gain a deeper understanding of our customers' needs.
  • You will be comfortable with a range of IT systems and platforms and confident with new technology. Rather than having knowledge of any specific platform you will need to be adaptable and flexible with learning new systems, requirements and technical formats. However strong MS Excel skills and experience with SharePoint is very desirable.
  • You'll need an excellent standard of written English with strong attention to detail, and experience of content management or working with online content.
