Location: Cambridge or Coventry/ Hybrid

Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract- ends 27th September 2024

We are looking for a number of Compliance Officers to join us on a six-month fixed term contract in the Malpractice/Appeals Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and motivated team.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

As a Compliance Officer, you will support the compliance managers to maintain and build public, customer and regulatory confidence in OCR's assessments and processes by:

  • Processing, investigating, and recommending decisions on malpractice, appeals and other compliance cases, to ensure OCR maintains the integrity of its qualifications and remains compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Providing advice and guidance to customers and internally on malpractice, appeals and other compliance cases.

This is a varied role that offers an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of all areas of malpractice investigation. You will be an essential part of the Compliance team as you develop new skills that enable you to support the team to ensure the smooth running of the malpractice process.

About you

You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with exceptional organisation skills. You will have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Ideally, you will have experience of working in a regulated environment, with proven ability to prioritise tasks appropriately and experience of using your own judgement to make decisions.

This is a demanding role that requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You will have significant experience in supporting the administrative needs of a large organisation with complex processes.

Rewards and benefits

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

  • Group personal pension scheme
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
  • Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
  • Green travel schemes
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

We also offer flexible and hybrid working options from day one. You will be required to work at our Cambridge or Coventry offices 2 days per week. We will consider any work arrangements if you wish to work flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.

Ready to pursue your potential? Apply now.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, with a closing date for all applications being Sunday 18th February and interviews are scheduled to take place on W/C 26th February. This is a rolling campaign, and therefore we will conduct interviews as and when candidates apply. Therefore, if you are interested in this exciting opportunity, we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.

Please note that successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory background checks including DBS due to working in a regulated industry.

“Please note, Cambridge University Press & Assessment is unable to issue sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Visa route for this role as it does not meet the minimum skill and/or salary requirements.”
