Business Strategist

Job Title: Business Strategist, Education

Salary: £42,000-£56,800 per annum 

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid 

Contract: Full time, fixed term maternity cover until February 2025

We need an excellent strategist with confident financial modelling skills to join our team, to ensure that our UK and International Education strategy development is well-evidenced, well organised and well supported.

About the role

The Business Strategist needs to get to know the organisation our markets and competitive environment, our operating contexts, our people and our data. Then combine that deep understanding with logic and creativity to propose and undertake analysis for the Head of Strategy, Education and senior executives.

Alongside insight and challenge, this role will also include reporting, project planning and co-ordination. It will require proactive problem solving, independent working and will include opportunities to lead on other strategic projects across the business.

Key accountabilities include:

• Strategic analysis: collect, organise and analyse information, including financial data, from across and beyond the business
• Strategy reporting: collate and produce regular and ad hoc reports for corporate management.
• Strategy development: work on one or more projects to support senior leadership teams in strategy development and implementation

About you

A detail oriented, motivated self-starter; organised, with excellent communication skills; who takes ownership; and values education, integrity and innovation.

The successful candidate will be able to distil a high volume of information, potentially confidential, into a concise format that allows key decisions to be taken swiftly.
