Working as a Applications Engineer, you will be the authority/support person for various process gas chromatograph engineering projects in Analytical, Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals.You will be the design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Reporting to the Senior Project Lead Engineer, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities
• Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables
• Sales support Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar field and minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in chemistry processes involved with gas processing or lab analysis
• Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including ability to read drawings, schematics
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solution focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
