Account Manager
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Brokerage Account Manager for their Business Development department, to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities with clients to grow their freight brokerage services. This role requires a strong understanding of the logistics industry, excellent sales and communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with clients through cold calling, networking, and market research.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their logistics needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients to secure new business.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services.
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Company services and capabilities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns and materials.
- 4+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development
- Strong understanding of the logistics industry and freight brokerage services
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and freight auditing
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience working with a CRM (customer relationship management) system
- Certification in logistics or transportation (e.g., CFA, CTB)
