UMGC is seeking an entry-level Academic Program Specialist for their Academic Operations departmentThe specialist will be responsible for providing customer service support related to incoming transcript processingThis is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits

Responsibilities
• Process received transcripts and other student documents in a confidential manner• Verify and enter student information listed on each institution's transcript sent to UMGC• Accurately scan and link transcripts to student records in the system• Review onscreen transcripts and handle digital filing for student records• Enter transfer credit information into the system for evaluation• Assist with document scanning and data entry for student-related documents• Serve as an entry point for transfer evaluation process and recruitment of new students• Screen transcripts for additional schools attended by students• Provide Tier I and II support for transcript inquiries• Sort and process incoming mail related to transcripts and documents• Participate in additional projects and duties as assigned
Requirements
• Associate degree required• Three years of experience with document processing or clerical work• One year of experience with a student record system, data entry, and document scanning• Some experience with document imaging systems• Ability to perform detail-oriented and service-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment• Preferred: Bachelor's degree• Preferred: Two years of experience working with confidential documents• Preferred: Understanding of FERPA and FERPA policies
