The Powder Solutions division is a world-leading provider of tungsten products used in the manufacturing of high-tech tools and metal powder for manufacturing technologies such as Metal Injection Molding and 3D printing. We serve a wide customer base spanning industries including automotive, aerospace, energy, infrastructure, electronics, and mining. With unique expertise and extensive experience, coupled with a strong focus on sustainability, we’re well-equipped to further strengthen our current position and foster the growth of our business.
Your mission
In this vital position, you lead and coordinate the work of business and functional managers within the area of Product Management (R&D, Technical Sales Support, PMO and Laboratory) – this involves translating customer needs and our technical expertise into viable concepts and solutions and to develop and drive our strategies into a clear industrialization plan and delivery. Technology and product development are essentials for us, and you join forces in this function from market and basic R&D to industrial implementation as an important lever for success.
Your primary responsibility is to assume global development and Product Management responsibility for the tungsten products within the BU Wolfram, fostering efficient cooperation with key stakeholders to meet set targets and priorities. Additionally, you develop and optimize processes within the business unit, adapting them to the corporate strategy and setting corresponding goals. As a member of Powder Solutions Management, you play a crucial part in shaping the strategic direction for the Division – formulating the product strategy and anchoring it by setting targets and ensuring their timely execution.
You’re dedicated to both individual and team development and as you set an example for the team, you consistently emphasize compliance with regulations. In this role, communication is a key factor, and you actively promote information exchange within the department and across other divisions. The location for this position is preferably in St. Martin, Austria and we offer you a hybrid working model.
Your background and profile
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership and organizational skills. You have a suitable educational background, such as a university degree in chemistry or process engineering, and extensive professional experience in a technical position, preferably from relevant industries and company structures – including a few years in management positions. You have good technical knowledge, basic understanding of products and possess the ability to identify and drive improvements and change within various aspects of the organization. As we operate globally, advanced English skills are a requirement, while knowledge in German is beneficial.
You’re a proactive and visionary leader with a proven track record in high-level roles, adept at delineating clear responsibilities for all team members. Your strategic orientation emphasizes long-term planning and aims to contribute with both stability and foresight. Your forward-thinking approach, along with an open attitude towards emerging technologies, positions you as someone who stays one step ahead. You have an excellent ability to collaborate and establish networks on an international basis, both internally and externally.
