Our client’s Truckload Division is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in the third-party logistics industry that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Handle all operations and communication with customers and carriers.
- Build the brokerage business by securing new customers and carriers in a cradle-to- grave environment.
- Identify business opportunities and cultivate professional working relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Quote shipments, negotiate rates, and arrange for freight transportation using the services of authorized carriers.
- Generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts to meet KPIs and exceed revenue goals.
- Monitor truck movements to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Accurately complete file maintenance and documentation from the beginning of each load until delivery and payment reconciliation.
- Resolve client and carrier conflicts and provide follow-up customer satisfaction as needed.
Experience:
- Freight brokerage and sales experience
- Must be able to secure new accounts or have a transferable book of business
- Ability to work in a cradle to grave, fast-paced environment
- Service-centric mindset
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- At least 6 months – 2 years of prior Cradle to Grave experience within a Truckload Brokerage environment
- Prior experience handling both customer & carrier sales activities
- Prior experience handling FTL freight (Flatbed & Dry Van services)
- Prior experience utilizing a TMS system
- Should be considered a sales hunter who is driven & motivated, as well as can work collaboratively with a team
