About the role:
Analysts create must-have insights for our clients through published research and client interaction helping solve organizational challenges that lead to better performance.
As part of Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will join a dynamic team focused on advising Legal, Risk, Compliance and other assurance leaders on emerging technologies, vendors, market trends, and best practices related to the governance of third-Party Risk.
This role will meaningfully expand coverage for the practice, and we are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and ideas-driven individual to help serve clients related to the topics below.
What you will do:
As a Gartner Analyst, you will engage with clients every day: on the phone, in videoconferences, or even the stage at a Gartner event. To support these conversations you will research technology, practices, trends and produce research for Gartner clients to view online or download and apply. You will:
Create insightful and actionable research for Heads of Legal, Risk, Compliance, and others with best practices and advice on the opportunities presented by optimized TPRM governance, how to assess and select TPRM technology, how to use analytics to support business partners across the first line (procurement, supply chain, IT, cyber and other functions).
Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas by understanding the broader market and ecosystem related to third parties and TPRM and analytics, partnering with experts internally, and learning from our clients’ best practices.
Maintain Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by thoughtfully responding to press inquiries.
What you will need:
10+ years of experience within Third Party Risk, legal, compliance or related fields (in a corporate, consulting, research, or other setting)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of and experience with the third-Party Risk Management governance, policies, and organizational structures and how they work within the Three Lines of Defense (3LOD) in general.
Working knowledge of the vendor market, functionalities, and capabilities for TPRM and related systems
Familiarity and experience with primary vendors in this space (e.g., ServiceNow, MetricStream, Archer) and near-neighbor vendors.
Familiarity and experience with how digital workplace hubs (for content collaboration and content sharing) support assurance and GRC systems
Experience and interest in advising, presenting to, and writing for the most senior levels of an organization (e.g., Head of Risk/ERM, Chief Audit Executives, GC, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, CEO, and Board of Directors)
Demonstrate executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.
Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments
Ability to effectively adjust communication style to different audiences.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
