The Center of Excellence at Hitachi Vantara is a worldwide entity that serves as a platform for presenting our products and solutions to customers and partners. These engagements involve demonstrations, proof of concepts, lab facilities, and video content. Our team collaborates closely with sales, technical sales, and product management, facilitating the exchange of insights into customer trends, experiences, and requirements to enhance the alignment of our products and solutions. The CoE is broadening our service catalog to encompass promoting and executing discovery services on both customer and partners environments. The result of the discovery services will provide both the account team and end customer insights into the landscape highlighting data placement, utilisation, performance, capacities, end of life planning and many more.
The role
The key objective of this role is a role of a technical Solution Consultant supporting customers and partner with the discovery services.
Key Responsibilities
• Exemplary consultancy skills - Comfortable engaging directly with sales, technical sales, partners and customers to clarify technical requirements and address any inquiries related to the proposed discovery service.
• Contribute to the development of technical content for the discovery initiation, execution and reports, ensuring alignment with customer and partner needs and requirements.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Hitachi Vantara's products, services, and solutions.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Block, File, Object, Converged, Hyper Converged, Virtualisation and Cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Hands on experience with multi-vendor storage platforms
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of discovery initiation, execution and reporting.
• Incorporate feedback from previous discovery executions, reports and outcomes to continuously improve and refine future submissions.
What you'll bring
• 3+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry
• 3+ years of experience in a Consulting Presales role in the Storage Industry or in a High-Value Solutions Infrastructure company desired
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Hitachi Block, File, Object, Converged, Hyper Converged, and Cloud technologies products.
• Strong knowledge of IT multi-vendor infrastructure technologies such as; Storage, Server technologies, Virtualization, Containers, Business Continuity, Data Protection, SAN, LAN/WAN Concepts and Architectures desired
• Track record of success in Business Technology related sales environment with excellent customer skills
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education needed or equivalent years of applicable experience
• Personable, Persuasive and Articulate - Able to represent Hitachi Vantara positively to customers and partners, build positive relationships of influence, and ability to communicate well (written and verbally)
• Able to work independently and proactively, self-starter able to manage time/tasks effectively
